Sanitation Class

The next two days were painfully long days. We needed to get certified in food sanitation before we can even think about stepping in the kitchen. Our instructor was a wonderfully sweet man that tried to make the course as interesting as possible. Unfortunately, food sanitation is about as interesting as watching corn grow. He grilled into our minds all of the key points of food santiation, but he also gave us some information about Chicago. He is a native of Chicago, and has been immersed in the culinary industry. We students we able to benefit from his experience, as he constantly dropped names of places we must go eat at. I am determined to go eat at as many of these places as possible.

So of course, the first two girls I met in class were Cali-born, country lovin' sisters. Can't get any better than that right? They were game to go and try the food places that our sanitation instructor told us about. First on the list... The Silver Palm. Home of the dish known as "the three little pigs". It is a sandwich filled with fried pork, ham, bacon, cheese, fried egg, and an onion ring. We three girls tried our best to finish one, but no luck. I can't imagine eating this on your own, I think your heart might stop beating. But it would be a good way to go, because this sandwhich was DELICIOUS.
